WON’T GIVE IN TO THE FIGHT

The concrete sidewalk, cold, grey
Takes me through another night
This sleeping bag my only strength
Between the chill of my bones
and midnight airs.
Seven days, rather nights makin it
Medicines ease the pain
To walk my own hallway again
See, feel, believe in something.
God, he’s my strength
Always
Yet this inner man lost in his
own haze and fog.
Can’t seem to get it right , ever.
But, won’t give in to the fight.
Morning soon to come, sunrise, new day
Hot coffee. A smoke. run from all this
If only someplace to run to.
Circle of damned. Come to this
The concrete sidewalk, cold, grey
Soon to take me again.
To the next night, and the next
And yet another guaranteed.
Chillin of these bones…
